Deepika Padukone had every reason to cheer as Bellatrix Aerospace, a space-tech start-up she invested in, has been conferred a National Award for their pioneering work.
Making the big announcement on her social media handle, the actress applauded the team for their efforts and shared her happiness on being a part of his milestone in their journey.

“Congratulations to @BellatrixAero on winning the National Award! I am truly humbled and honoured to be able to play a small part in India’s contribution to global space technology and innovation as an investor and well-wisher. #JaiHind,” Deepika said in a post on her Instagram stories.

The Bengaluru-based company has been working closely with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to build cost-effective technology, provides eco-friendly alternatives and is on par with global standards.

Founded in 2015, the startup made headlines in 2019 when the actress stepped in as an investor to back the space-tech research.

According to reports, this was also the first startup in India that began working on technology development with the ISRO and is the only domestic enterprise working on electric propulsion that is key to replacing conventional engines on satellites that manoeuvre in orbit.
