Abhishek feels he has no ‘ego’ problem

Abhishek Bachchan often finds himself at the receiving end of the hostility towards those who made have cemented their place in the industry because of connections and family ties. He has been trolled time and again about how his acting career in Bollywood survives just because of his father. The actor even admitted previously that he too had to face his own share of struggles as Amitabh Bachchan has never picked up the phone on anyone. He has also never made a film for his son Abhishek.
Now, the versatile actor who has been praised for his recent acting chops in Anurag Basu’s dark comedy ‘Ludo’ has revealed in his two-decade-long career ego has never been a major issue for the actor because he believes things like that only destroy one’s work and it can never catapult one to anywhere. During an interview with an entertainment portal Abhishek also clarified he never had any kind of apprehensions over sharing the screen space with other actors.

He further believes being an actor everyone has to watch out for themselves to give their best to make a name. For Abhishek, this urge comes from that mentality and the mental strength to flourish in any industry. But unfortunately in case of actors, he claims it has been tagged as an actor’s ego most of the times. The versatile actor who has been part of quite a few multistarrer films says in case of sharing screen with other actors, it’s like survival of the fittest, the basic instinct in human beings. There’s no insecurity.
Abhishek is currently shooting for his next ‘Bob Biswas’, being directed by Sujoy Ghosh’s daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh, in Kolkata. The standalone film with a ‘Kahaani’ connection also stars Chitrangada Singh in the lead.
