Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 55 on Monday and celebrated his birthday with his family and closest friends in Dubai. Among the many birthday wishes that came pouring in on social media, was one from Arsenal footballer and FIFA World-Cup winner, Mesut Özil.
The German football star, who is a big fan of the actor, sent out a birthday greeting on his Instagram handle with and shared a photo with the superstar from their meeting in 2019.
“Happy Birthday @IamSRK,” Özil captioned the photo that saw the two posing with the footballer’s number 10 jersey.
The photo was shared by King Khan, back in 2019, while extending a note of thanks to Özil for inviting him to watch an Arsenal vs Newcastle United match. In his tweet, SRK thanked the footballer for hosting him and for all the love and hospitality.

Replying to the actor’s kind words, Özil’s wife, Amine Özil said, “It was a great pleasure having you at the game, thank you for coming @iamsrk.”
Reports claimed that Shah Rukh would announce his next film project on the occasion of his birthday, however, the actor is yet to make the big announcement. The star was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 flick ‘Zero’.
He is set to make a cameo in the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’.
