Kittu Gidwani on 12 years of ‘Fashion’

No other actor could have done justice to the character of Anisha Roy from ‘Fashion‘, the way Kittu Gidwani did. As Madhur Bhandarkar‘s dream project ‘Fashion’ completed 12 years today, ETimes got in touch with Kittu Gidwani, who shared fond memories of the movie. She also expressed disappointment for not being able to work with Madhur post the success of the film. “It’s a pity that I didn’t even do any other film with Madhur. In fact, I haven’t even seen him after ‘Fashion’,” revealed Kitu in an exclusive chat.
Kittu Gidwani played Anisha Roy, the head of a modelling agency, who notices Priyanka Chopra aka Meghna Mathur‘s passion for modelling. The classy, bossy, and sharp character essayed by Kitu, was much applauded but the ace actress modestly shares that she just did her job. “Working for ‘Fashion’ was like any other film as I did my job. Hopefully, I did a good job. It was a very pleasant and fun experience working for it.”

The enthusiastic actress had a ball of a time while working on ‘Fashion’ and shared that there were no ego clashes on the sets, despite such a huge cast. “There were no egos and everything went very smoothly. It is very surprising actually for such a big film but we all had a lovely time, we got to wear lovely clothes. It was like a big party at the end of the film.”

On being asked about working with Priyanka, she had only one word to say for the versatile actress and the word is ‘professional’. Coming back to the captain of the ship, Madhur and his films, we asked Kittu about ‘Fashion 2’, whether she would like to be part of ‘Fashion 2’, if ever it is made, and she quickly answered, “If Madhur offers me ‘Fashion 2’, I will say ‘yes’ immediately.”
Talking about Madhur’s work and passion for filmmaking, Kittu adds, “Madhur is an extremely down to earth man. He is the kind of person with whom one can joke and laugh and he will not mind. He can handle a massive cast really well as he has a very good body of work.”
