Dhanush bags with Hollywood film Chris-Ryan

South superstar Dhanush has bagged a role in the highly anticipated film ‘The Gray Man’, helmed by ‘Avengers: Endgame’ director duo – the Russo brothers.
It was confirmed early this morning that the actor will join the stellar cast of Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling and Ana de Armas for the upcoming big-budget Hollywood project. With the actor now officially on-board the project, it marks his second Hollywood venture, after the critically acclaimed, ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ that released in 2018.

The upcoming spy-thriller, that is reportedly being made on a USD 200 million budget, is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel by the same name. The film revolves around a freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry.

According to reports, it follows Gentry (Gosling) as he is hunted across the world by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former member of Gentry’s CIA team.

The movie follows Gosling who essays the role of Gentry who is hunted by Evans a former cohort at the CIA.

Anthony and Joe Russo will also be producing the project under their banner. The film’s script has been written by Joe Russo with ‘Avengers: Endgame’ screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The makers are reportedly planning to start the filming in January in Los Angeles while international locations are still being finalised.

The roles played by Dhanush, Ana and the members of the supporting cast are still under wraps.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dhanush is also set to make his Bollywood return with ‘Atrangi Re’, co-starring with Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.
