Chadwick’s death post is most liked 2020 tweet

The Tweet announcing the news of Chadwick Boseman’s unfortunate demise resulted in it becoming the most engaging post in global entertainment in India with the maximum number of retweets, likes and quoted tweets.
The ‘Black Panther’ star and his family received an outpour of love, appreciation, grief and respect from people across the country who were reeling in shock over his untimely demise. Indian fans also joined in to pay tribute to the star, his work and echoed the chant #WakandaForever on social media.

The last tweet posted from the late actor’s Twitter handle also became the most-liked tweet of all time. The official Twitter handle declared at 2:09 AM on Sunday, August 30, that the tweet shared by his team, is officially the most-liked tweet of all time.
Till date, the tweet has amassed over 2.1 million Retweets and 7.5 million Likes (globally).

“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV,” the tweet announced.

Chadwick died at the age of 43 after a secret four-year-long battle with colon cancer.

Boseman rose to prominence after essaying the role of the real-life figures including baseball star Jackie Robinson in 2013’s 42 and American singer-songwriter James Brown in 2014’s ‘Get on Up’.

However, it was his role as ‘Balck Panther‘ in the 2018 hit film that defined his career and made a huge imprint on his fans.
